The website states it serves 6 people and looking at the finished creation, I struggled to see how that could be. However, once tasting the mud pie, I realised: it was very rich so-much-so, 1/6 was more than enough to satisfy those sugar cravings.
We had some leftover chocolate sauce and plenty of strawberries in the fridge. Queue the second tastiest thing made…
Today was the day my flights to Australia got booked! In 7 weeks time, I’ll be flying out to Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns for a whole 3 weeks.
I have been waiting to go to Australia since I was 8 years old, ever since my uncle Jindi married Kiran (an Aussie) and permanently moved out there 13 years old. I’ve been fascinated with the country, the animals, the weather…excited can’t even begin to describe how I feel!
I’ll be flying out on the 3rd September with Thai Airlines and a return ticket cost £890, which included a visa. The layover is in Bangkok and for this price, for a 4* airline, it was one of the cheapest return options I found.
I’m also thinking of buying a good quality camera, so I can video myself throughout the whole trip. Kind of like a vlogging thing, but moreso so I’ll never forget about this trip. I also find it so awk speaking to a camera so we’ll see how this whole idea goes down.
What’s left to do now is to start working on the itinerary, as there’s so much to fit in in those 3 weeks!
I found out my degree results today and was a little disheartened to hear that my overall grade came to a 2:2.
My dissertation however was awarded a 2:1 which I was quite proud of! With these type of degrees, 50% comes down to group work, so you’re relying on other people to help you get good marks and sometimes, the end results don’t always go your way.
Nonetheless, after many, many years of education, I have a degree in Advertising with Marketing Communications. Furthermore, I have a job secured at Mediacom, one of the biggest agencies in the world, which I’ll be starting at the end of September after my summer off.
So even though my results weren’t what I expected, you make of it what you can and I’m still excited to start the next part of my life.
I spent a long weekend with my cousins, uncles and aunts in Coventry recently as it was my grandads 70th birthday. As my grandparents are purely vegetarian, we chose Kings Lounge, an all-vegetarian restaurant in Birmingham.
An all-vegetarian restaurant basically substitute all meat with soya. What made this particular restaurant special was that they prepared and cooked their own soya and because of this, the food tasted super fresh, light and delicious. Even the meat-eaters of the family said there wasn’t a huge difference as everything tasted so wonderful.
I’m a pescatarian, so it was my my first time at one of these restaurants. I’ll definitely be returning. Couldn’t fault a single thing. I chose the Saag Paneer. Mouth-wateringly good!
THE OUTFIT
My cami top is from Topshop, the beige, sleeveless blazer/coat is from New Look, Joni jeans are from Topshop and the black, lace heels are from ASOS.
THE DRINKS
They also didn’t serve alcohol at the restaurant so all the ‘cocktails’ were actually ‘mocktails’.
He admits, he still would’ve preferred it with alcohol no matter how tasty it was!
FAMILY PICS
Minus one of my aunts, Narinder, who was on holiday with her family.
My uncle Pete and my cousin, Juggy, were on holiday with Narinder.
HUGELY UNSUCCESSFUL SHOPPING TRIP
Bea and I decided to go shopping on the Monday, but we ended up returning two things and buying one eyeliner from Boots. Failure at being girls. At least the Starbucks was good.
There have been some right tunes released in the last month and as the weather has been scorching this week, I’ve conducted a playlist for all your beach/holiday/BBQ needs, filled with newbies and a couple oldies.
SIZZLING SUMMER PLAYLIST
